Meet the Team

JENNIFER WILLIAMS

Principal Consultant

Jennifer Williams currently lives in Greenfield, MA, and has been at Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) School in the Advancement Office since 2007. Over the years Jennifer has managed milestone multi-year volunteer-driven reunion fundraising programs ranging from $2.2M to $6M. She is currently the Director of Major and Planned Gifts. Jennifer received her Masters in Strategic Fundraising and Philanthropy from Bay Path University in October of 2020 and is a member of Nu Lambda Mu.

Jennifer has consulted with the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ (MACUCC) providing workshops for local churches on annual fundraising, the Consecrating Stewards program, and capital campaigns. Jennifer has presented numerous workshops for the MACUCC at their annual “Super Saturday” stewardship conferences titled “Capital Campaign Primer,” “Making the Ask,” as well as a workshop titled “Giving your Testimony in Worship” in 2008 at the Northeast Ecumenical Stewardship Council’s biennial two-day stewardship gathering. Jennifer continues her work with churches by completing feasibility studies for individual church capital campaigns and seeing them through the 16-20 week campaign process as Campaign Director.

Jennifer grew up in the UCC as a preacher's kid and has been actively involved in church from an early age. Jennifer is currently a member of the Second Congregational Church in Greenfield, MA.

Jennifer finds fundraising work with churches to be a "calling," and finds great joy in working with a church to achieve things they never imagined they would be able to achieve. Witnessing how campaign committees and congregations bond, and how faith is raised as they work together toward a common goal, is inspirational and deeply rewarding.

MARGERY WILLIAMS

Margery Williams founded Williams Consulting Services in 1994 after retiring from a career in non-profits. Margery passed away in December of 2019, but her presence is felt every day.

Before her twenty years of work with Williams Consulting Services, Margery served for five years as an associate director of development at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA. There she planned and implemented their annual fund, doubling its income in five years; identified and cultivated prospects; recruited, trained and supervised volunteers; liasioned with alumni, parents, boards, committees, students, faculty and staff; designed and maintained reporting procedures; assisted in the operation of capital campaign and major gift strategies and solicitations; and implemented the first stages of a planned giving initiative.

Prior to that, Margery served the Greater Lowell Family YMCA for eighteen years. As Executive Director, she oversaw the 5,000 member association with a $1.2 million budget.
