Campaign Services

We work primarily with New England UCC churches. Because we are local (located in MA, NH & CT), it affords us the opportunity to work closely with our churches, attending most weekly campaign committee meetings. This approach has had a significant impact on each campaign's success.

The campaign time period is flexible according to the season and the church's needs. Generally it will be conducted over a 4-5 month period and include a three-year pledge period.

Capital Campaign Services provided include:

  • Guidance in the selection and recruitment of key campaign leaders, including a meeting with the Minister(s) to determine whom to recruit as Campaign Chairs(s).

  • Meeting with the Minister and Campaign Chairs(s) to review job descriptions as outlined in the campaign manual, and facilitate the process of identifying Task Group Chairs for the campaign's Executive Committee (CEC), as well as plan for the special church meeting to vote acceptance of a capital campaign.

  • If requested, present an overview of the Feasbility Report at the Special Meeting to vote, if such a report was generated, and encourage generous giving.

  • Hold an organizational meeting with the newly formed CEC, and train all Task Group Chairs on the process. Provide samples of other church capital campaign materials as ideas for their work.

  • Provide a Chart of Gifts Needed and a draft of the campaign calendar for CEC approval.

  • Resource and monitor work of Campaign Chair(s) and task Groups Chairs throughout - both on- and off-site, providing one consultant to be in attendance at most CEC meetings in an advisory capacity.

  • Provide leadership for an Evaluation Meeting to determine which prospects fall into each of the Advance and Family Gift groups.

  • Provide comprehensive vistor training for each of the Advance and Church Family Gift visitor groups.

  • Monitor Advance and Church Family Gifts progress, providing feedback to the CEC Chair(s) and Gift Chair(s) as needed.

  • Supervise recording and acknowledgment procedures and progress of the campaign's financial commitments.

  • Attend the campaign Kick-off Event, and provide a motivational message during the program.

  • Attend the Celebration Sunday service.

  • Prepare the agenda for the campaign Final Evaluation Meeting and lead the CEC through the evaluation process, identifying areas needing follow-up.

  • Monitor campaign follow-up for the entire pledge period, and be available for meeting with the Follow-up Task Group as needed throughout the pledge period, as a resource.
